Album Notes & Community Reviews
The third studio album by The Pharcyde, 'Plain Rap' documents Los Angeles hip hop in transition: the group's first LP without Fatlip and the last to feature Slimkid3. Produced by Bootie Brown, Slimkid3, J-Swift and Showbiz, its sampling-based, soul-inflected production carries a mellower, introspective register than the group's earlier work.
