Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Ben Weasel of Screeching Weasel, this album is a seminal work in the Ramones-core subgenre of pop-punk. 'Love Songs for the Retarded' is a high-speed blast of simple, catchy, and often juvenile punk rock about girls, getting drunk, and being a slacker. It captures the band's snotty and irreverent attitude perfectly and became one of the most influential pop-punk albums of the early 90s.
