Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capturing the heavily rhythmic, gospel-inflected piano style that would soon make them mainstream crossover stars, 'Pot Luck' is a phenomenal entry from the Ramsey Lewis Trio. The group expertly reinterprets contemporary pop hits, Broadway show tunes, and blues standards, infusing them with deeply grooving, highly accessible soul-jazz vamps. It highlights the impeccable, telepathic interplay of one of the decade's most commercially successful jazz ensembles.
