Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reinvigorated by his former drummer Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, pianist Ramsey Lewis pivoted hard into smooth, synthesizer-heavy jazz-funk on 'Sun Goddess'. The title track features extensive writing and production contributions from White, resulting in a massively successful crossover hit. The album fundamentally reshaped Lewis's career trajectory for the remainder of the decade.
