Constructing an entirely fabricated, highly satirical narrative surrounding Inuit culture, The Residents delivered a deeply unsettling, astonishingly surreal avant-garde concept album. 'Eskimo' relies heavily on chilling wind sound effects, bizarre homemade instruments, and dense, wordless chanting, resulting in an incredibly cold, remarkably atmospheric, and highly immersive wintery soundscape.
