Recorded in a shed on rudimentary four-track equipment, 'City Lights' establishes the deeply esoteric, avant-garde DIY aesthetic of the British duo. The album is incredibly sparse, utilizing dissonant, out-of-tune guitars and lethargic, abstract poetry to create a profoundly lonely and surreal lo-fi experience.
