Album Notes & Community Reviews

Surprise-released without any preliminary singles, Billy Corgan consciously steers the band back towards the muscular, guitar-driven alternative rock and heavy metal influences of their highly celebrated 1990s era. The sprawling synthesizer experiments of their recent opuses are significantly dialed back in favor of dense, aggressive riffing and classic arena-ready dynamics.
