Album Notes & Community Reviews
Billed directly as a conceptual sequel to both 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness' and 'Machina', this sprawling, 33-track rock opera leans heavily into grandly synthesized pop rock. The incredibly ambitious, futuristic narrative embraces uplifting AOR choruses and a distinctly playful, science-fiction atmosphere. The album largely trades the band's foundational alternative rock angst for heavily polished, ethereal synthpop textures.
