Album Notes & Community Reviews
Billy Corgan leads the reunited lineup into a massive, twenty-track double album heavily prioritizing dense, 1980s-inspired electronic production. Largely abandoning their iconic alternative rock guitar sound, the record relies almost entirely on cold synthesizers and drum machines, exploring themes of dystopia, alienation, and spiritual exhaustion. The drastic stylistic pivot proved highly polarizing among critics and long-time fans.
