Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Gimme Some Lovin'' compiled the UK hits of The Spencer Davis Group for the American market. The album highlighted Steve Winwood's blue-eyed soul vocals and driving R&B organ before his departure to form Traffic. It serves as a potent snapshot of the harder-edged sound that dominated the mid-60s British beat boom.
