Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Stranglers fully embraced their highly melodic, synthesizer-driven pop sensibilities on 'La folie', an album that famously yielded the enormous hit single 'Golden Brown'. Despite the incredibly lush, slightly psychedelic new wave production, the record retains the band's deeply pessimistic, sardonic lyrical edge and highly rhythmic, driving basslines.
