Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deliberately attempting to craft a commercially successful record loaded with radio hits, Lou Reed led the Velvet Underground through their final, wonderfully accessible studio triumph. 'Loaded' is incredibly melodic and beautifully warm, abandoning their trademark avant-garde dissonance for fiercely playful, deeply uplifting pop-rock anthems like 'Sweet Jane'.
