Album Notes & Community Reviews

Adapting to the shifting musical tides, The Ventures incorporated mild fuzz effects and contemporary pop covers into their signature instrumental surf style. 'Guitar Freakout' captures the veteran instrumental group attempting to bridge the gap between their clean-cut early 60s sound and the approaching psychedelic era. It serves as a fascinating transitional artifact in their expansive discography.
