Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on the instrumental surf rock phenomenon, 'Mashed Potatoes and Gravy' demonstrates The Ventures' ability to seamlessly adapt their tight band dynamic to passing dance crazes. It relies heavily on the group's precise, reverb-drenched guitar interplay and driving rhythm section. The record served as another reliable commercial success during their peak era of establishing standard rock guitar instrumentation.
