Album Notes & Community Reviews

Plunging headfirst into the Summer of Love, The Ventures saturated their signature instrumental sound with heavy fuzz, phase shifters, and studio trickery. 'Super Psychedelics' covered contemporary hits and offered trippy originals, serving as a delightfully contrived exploitation of the burgeoning acid rock scene. It documents the veteran surf group attempting to navigate the rapidly shifting cultural aesthetic.
