Album Notes & Community Reviews
Emerging from the initial explosion of the British punk movement, 'Pure Mania' balances raw aggression with sharp, classic pop-rock melodicism. The group had previously served as backing musicians for Chris Spedding, bringing a higher degree of technical proficiency to their debut than many of their contemporaries. The record captures the transitional energy between pub rock and the high-speed intensity of the late-70s punk scene.
