Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating out of Seattle just before the city became synonymous with heavy grunge, the group forged a distinctively dark, poetic strain of Americana. Marrying the aggressive tension of post-punk with rustic folk instrumentation, 'Cataract' stands as a somber, cinematic highlight of the underground roots-rock revival.
