Album Notes & Community Reviews
Relocating to Europe and signing with Virgin Records Germany, the Seattle ensemble significantly expanded their roots-rock sound with sweeping, cinematic string arrangements. The lush orchestration, provided by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, deeply complements the melancholic, dual-vocal storytelling of Chris Eckman and Carla Torgerson. The refined, atmospheric approach earned them substantial commercial success and critical acclaim overseas.
