Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled by Charles Wright's distinctive leadership, this Los Angeles-based ensemble solidifies their reputation as pioneers of West Coast funk. The highly syncopated rhythms, robust horn section, and loose, party-oriented atmosphere encapsulate the transition of traditional soul into a heavier, intensely danceable groove format.
