The Weavers' Almanac

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Nearing the end of their remarkably influential but politically turbulent career, The Weavers recorded this highly polished studio album for Vanguard. 'The Weavers' Almanac' features their signature, tightly arranged four-part vocal harmonies interpreting an eclectic mix of international folk standards and American traditionals. It serves as a slightly smoothed-over, final testament to the group that largely birthed the commercial folk revival.
