Following significant internal turmoil and the departure of founding member Nicole Shanahan, the sprawling Connecticut collective returns with a fiercely direct, politically charged album. The record dials back some of their massive post-rock orchestrations in favor of tight, urgent indie-rock and emo anthems tackling systemic racism and xenophobia. It is a highly passionate, cathartic release for the emo revival staples.
