Album Notes & Community Reviews
The fifth album by Tokyo band Thee Michelle Gun Elephant is a raw statement of garage rock and garage punk, its fast guitar attack, blues inflections and noisy retro textures sustaining continuous momentum. Formed at Meiji Gakuin University by Yusuke Chiba, Koji Ueno and Kazuyuki Kuhara, the band received prominent support from John Peel, who championed the record on his BBC programme.
