It's Monk's Time

Album Notes & Community Reviews

A classic album from Monk's celebrated 1960s quartet, featuring his longtime foil Charlie Rouse on tenor saxophone. The album captures the group at its peak, showcasing their incredible tightness and their ability to make even the most angular and eccentric compositions swing irresistibly. The record is a perfect mix of challenging new originals and beautifully crafted solo piano interpretations of standards.
