Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to reinvent themselves following the departure of iconic frontman Van Morrison, the Northern Irish outfit relocated to the United States and radically updated their sound. The album is a heavy, fuzz-drenched excursion into West Coast psychedelia, incorporating sitars, backwards tape loops, and extended instrumental jams. It is a fascinating, wildly uncharacteristic reinvention of a band previously known strictly for gritty R&B.
