Album Notes & Community Reviews

The eponymous debut full-length from Massachusetts outfit There Were Wires captures the raw intensity of their early years in the Boston hardcore scene. Recorded over two days in the spring of 2000, the record leans heavily into chaotic screamo and emoviolence frameworks. It laid the groundwork for the band's subsequent evolution into heavier, more sludge-influenced territories before gaining wider regional traction.
