Biography
There Were Wires is a Boston-based hardcore band that gained notoriety for their chaotic live shows and influential sound. Formed in 1999, the band initially blended metallic hardcore with screamo on their self-titled debut before evolving towards a slower, more atmospheric and doom-influenced style on their 2003 sophomore album, 'Somnambulists', released via #Iodine Recordings#. After disbanding in 2004, members went on to form notable projects including *Doomriders* and *Disappearer*. The band reunited in 2022 for shows and subsequently recorded new material, releasing the album 'Vessel' in 2026, their first in over two decades.
