Album Notes & Community Reviews

The pioneering Swedish symphonic metal ensemble crafted an enormously complex double album based conceptually on the occult writings of 17th-century mystic Johannes Bureus. The project significantly reduces their typical orchestral choirs, relying instead on prominent progressive metal guitar work and a remarkably diverse roster of multiple lead vocalists.
