Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking a highly controversial detour from their original symphonic metal compositions, the Swedish veterans completely self-financed this massive, eccentric covers album. The record consists entirely of French pop songs and classic chansons originally recorded in the 1960s and 1970s, aggressively reimagined with soaring operatic vocals, full orchestral arrangements, and heavy metal guitars. Named after Charles Baudelaire's legendary poetry collection, it remains one of the most uniquely bizarre projects in their extensive catalog.
