Album Notes & Community Reviews
The first of two surprise albums released in quick succession, 'New Others Part One' marked the recorded debut of a new band lineup. The album signals a return to a more melodic and structured form of post-rock, contrasting with the more abstract drone of their previous work. It balances the band's signature dense and atmospheric layering with a renewed focus on passionate, progressive song structures.
