Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing their prolific reign over the American sludge metal scene, the Baton Rouge collective delivered a towering, emotionally devastating masterwork. The record juxtaposes misanthropic, sludgy ferocity with surprisingly delicate acoustic passages and poignant, anarchist lyricism. It is widely regarded as a defining triumph of modern doom metal, characterized by its agonizingly slow tempos and oppressive weight.
