Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Drunk' is a sprawling 23-track album that fuses jazz-funk, R&B, and soul through a surreal and often humorous lens. The record showcases Thundercat's virtuosic bass playing and distinctive falsetto across short vignettes and fully-formed songs that explore intoxication, love, mortality, and pop culture. The production's eclectic nature is highlighted by a diverse range of guests, including soft-rock icons Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald alongside Kendrick Lamar, solidifying the album as a dense and stylistically adventurous work.
