Biography
Los Angeles bassist, singer and songwriter Stephen Bruner, whose liquid six-string bass work and high falsetto made him a defining musician of his generation. After nine years in *Suicidal Tendencies*, he emerged on #Brainfeeder# with 'The Golden Age of Apocalypse' (2011) and 'Drunk' (2017), contributed centrally to *Kendrick Lamar*'s 'To Pimp a Butterfly', and won a Grammy for 'It Is What It Is' (2020). His playing moves between jazz fusion, funk and R&B without settling in any of them.
