Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving away from the primitive black metal of their debut, the Swedish group embraced a heavily atmospheric, doom-laden sound. By introducing acoustic guitars, keyboards, and Gothic flourishes, the album served as an important stepping stone in the development of early Gothic metal.
