Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Canadian cinematic rock outfit replaces the dusty, acoustic folk of their earlier work with sleek, 1980s-inspired synthesizers recorded entirely at a chateau near Paris. The album's chilling, dystopian atmosphere perfectly complements Taylor Kirk's crooning baritone, reflecting a profound sense of political dread and ecological collapse following the 2016 global elections. It is a deeply sinister, nocturnal masterpiece of art-rock.
