Biography
Timber Timbre was a Canadian folk project founded in 2005 by Taylor Kirk, whose low, quavering voice and sparse guitar defined its swampy, cinematic blues sound. Joined by Simon Trottier, Mika Posen and later Mathieu Charbonneau, Kirk released acclaimed albums including 'Timber Timbre', 'Creep on Creepin' On' and 'Hot Dreams', several of them Polaris Music Prize nominees. Kirk died in April 2026, aged 44.
