Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reunited with longtime producer Mica Levi, this incredibly insular record was constructed rapidly around a single, repetitive drum loop. The resulting tracks are hazy, lo-fi, and deeply hypnotic, allowing Tirzah's unpolished, intimate vocal deliveries to drift over murky piano chords and distorted textures. It stands as a brilliant, minimalist subversion of contemporary R&B expectations.
