Album Notes & Community Reviews

Radically shifting gears after their sprawling punk-rock opera 'The Most Lamentable Tragedy', the New Jersey outfit delivers a stripped-back, remarkably subdued collection of heartland rock ballads. The heavily piano-driven album eschews fast tempos and distorted guitars to highlight frontman Patrick Stickles' raspy vocals and incredibly cynical, poetic songwriting, famously featuring a sprawling Bob Dylan cover. The drastic stylistic pivot severely polarized their established punk fanbase.
