Titus Andronicus is an American rock band formed in Glen Rock, New Jersey, by singer-songwriter Patrick Stickles. Known for their literate, passionate, and often sprawling punk and indie rock, the band frequently weaves historical and literary allegories into their personal and politically charged lyrics. Their sound blends the fury of punk with the anthemic qualities of heartland rock, drawing comparisons to artists like *Bruce Springsteen* and *The Clash*. They broke through with their ambitious 2010 Civil War-themed concept album, 'The Monitor', released on #XL Recordings#. Subsequent works, such as the five-act rock opera 'The Most Lamentable Tragedy' and 2022's 'The Will to Live', have continued to explore grand themes with raw, cathartic energy, primarily on #Merge Records#.
