Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former Television frontman's fourth solo effort embraces the synthesizer and drum machine technology prevalent in mid-80s new wave production. Despite the glossy synthetic textures, Verlaine's signature wiry, idiosyncratic guitar lines and breathless vocal delivery remain the focal point. It stands as a surprisingly danceable and accessible entry in his fiercely independent catalog.
