Biography
Tom Verlaine (1949–2023) was the frontman of *Television*, whose 'Marquee Moon' (1977) remains one of the defining albums of the New York punk era. His fleet, intertwining guitar work with *Richard Lloyd* and his enigmatic songwriting set the band apart from their CBGB contemporaries, and 'Adventure' (1978) and the 1992 reunion album 'Television' confirmed his stature. His solo records, including 'Dreamtime' and 'Words from the Front', extended the same exploratory approach across four decades.
