Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating entirely without his distinctive vocals for the first time on a solo release, the former Television frontman delivers a moody, instrumental exploration. 'Warm and Cool' focuses on crystalline, reverb-drenched guitar improvisations backed by sparse, jazz-inflected rhythm sections. The cinematic, nocturnal atmosphere of the recording preempts the expansive instrumental rock movements that would flourish later in the decade.
