Album Notes & Community Reviews
The legendary Nigerian drummer and foundational pioneer of Afrobeat makes his Blue Note Records debut with this masterful studio full-length. The tracking fuses complex, polyrhythmic African drumming patterns with sophisticated, horn-driven post-bop compositions. Serving as an instrumental tribute to his early idol, Art Blakey, the album highlights his enduring percussive genius and unparalleled groove.
