Produced by Kurt Ballou, the second full-length from the Miami quartet brilliantly merges the punishing, low-end guitar tuning of sludge metal with the undeniably catchy vocal hooks of alternative power-pop. The tracks are remarkably bright and triumphant, aggressively shedding the typical bleak aesthetics of doom metal in favor of soaring, harmonized stadium rock melodies. It is widely considered a defining masterpiece of modern 'sludge-pop'.
