Album Notes & Community Reviews
Masterminded by producer Paul O'Neill alongside members of Savatage, this highly ambitious rock opera initiated a massive, modern holiday institution. The record fuses heavy, driving electric guitars with classical orchestration to narrate a remarkably sentimental, deeply earnest Christmas tale. Driven by the colossal instrumental hit 'Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24', it became a multi-platinum staple of American holiday music.
