Album Notes & Community Reviews

Travis Scott's 'Astroworld' is a sprawling work of psychedelic hip-hop and trap, conceptually built around the defunct Houston theme park of its namesake to evoke themes of nostalgia and lost youth. The album's maximalist production is defined by frequent, abrupt shifts in sound and a rich, atmospheric layering of beats, creating a sonic experience often compared to an amusement park ride. Critically and commercially successful, 'Astroworld' debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, featured a vast roster of high-profile collaborators, and is considered a landmark album of the 2010s.
