Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Swedish outfit completes their thrilling transition from gritty death metal into a highly theatrical, romanticized gothic rock hybrid. While retaining raspy, extreme vocal performances, the dual-guitar attack is remarkably melodic, pulling heavily from classic 1970s hard rock and eerie post-punk aesthetics. It was widely praised for effectively reviving the cinematic vampiric atmosphere of classic gothic metal.
