Album Notes & Community Reviews

While the first wave of British punk was rapidly dissolving into new wave, Charlie Harper's veteran outfit delivered a ferocious, no-nonsense debut of pure, aggressive street punk. The recording captures incredibly tight, high-speed guitar riffs paired with shout-along choruses detailing urban decay and working-class frustration. It provided a crucial, heavy template that deeply influenced the incoming hardcore and Oi! movements of the early 1980s.
