Album Notes & Community Reviews

For her fourth full-length release, Meghan Remy continues her evolution away from abrasive tape-loop experiments toward a highly idiosyncratic vision of retro pop music. The production is characterized by primitive drum machines, fuzz-drenched guitars, and an uncanny channeling of 1960s girl-group vocal aesthetics. 'GEM' is a remarkably concise, deeply unsettling reimagining of classic American pop through a lo-fi, hypnagogic lens.
