Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut studio album from American musician April Harper Grey was self-produced and recorded in her parents' house during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite having little prior experience, Grey challenged herself to incorporate guitar on every track, which helped define the album's sound. The record blends glitchy, high-energy hyperpop with earnest songwriting that touches on themes of coming-of-age, self-hatred, and navigating life online, establishing underscores as a prominent voice in the genre.
