Album Notes & Community Reviews
Todd Rundgren's meticulously orchestrated progressive rock outfit embraces high-concept fantasy themes and dizzying technical proficiency on this ambitious release. Opening with a massive electronic overture before launching into multi-part, suite-like compositions, the record balances dense musicianship with massive, radio-ready pop harmonies. It remains a bombastic highlight of American symphonic rock before the group eventually streamlined into power pop.
